At first... well, let's just say I did a double take and saw it was an E7300... This chip should prove to be another great budget overclocker.

Not bad. I think that the E7200 at $119 might be a better deal for those on a stricter budget. I'd be curious to see what these overclock to.

the E7200 is $110 at microcenter right now. jaredpace, why do you think this is not the E0 stepping? Guess we shall find out in a few days...

agreed.
or spend a little more for an e8400 with more L2 cache and stock high clock speeds

Yeah, I really held out on the e8400 for a long time and was seriously considering the e7200... MicroCenter recently had the e8400 for 150 (plus tax) and I bit on that because the price was getting so close to the e7x00 series.

if the e7300s are E0 that might be worth the premium over the e7200s otherwise they are about the same.
