Intel DZ68DB support Ivy Bridge, 22nm CPU?

Does anyone know if the Intel® Desktop Board DZ68DB will support the upcoming IVY Bridge CPU?

The main site link for the DZ68DB on Intel.com doesn't say and i could not find any related postings in the 'Desktop Board Forum' on Intel site.

why did you get an Intel branded board?

anyways, yeah, all z68 should be able to with a bios update

I actually have not purchased the board yet. I would rather buy ASUS or ASRock but there seem to be such a litter of issues - not sure I'm willing to take a chance. Between the PCI bus sharing on the ASUS and the flaky bios of ASRock, which seem to be regularly documented on forums, appear to be potential risks involved with these boards. Simply looking for a reliable board as the backbone to a general desktop system which will some perform video transcoding.

i assure you that the reviews are only posted by people who actually like reviewing and people who got DOAs or problems.

the majority of people dont actually post reviews.

one of our highly recommended board is the AsRock Z68 Extreme 3 Gen 3

So far we havent said that any "6" series board (including all the other manufacturers' boards) will support our upcoming processors. Most likely something will be annoucned on this issue in coming weeks.

Also, you should be aware that a lot of the problems in these forums are generated from user-error and are due to a lack of expertise. Asus and Asrock are quality manufacturers and the percent chances of receiving a truly defective board are no more than the chances of getting a defective board from Intel. Moreover, Intel branded boards are manufactured by Foxconn, and you should note they lack the UEFI and other features which Asus offers.

Take T yamamotos advice and post build questions in General Hardware, you will get some bad advice here I'm sorry to say. Mfenn, lehtv and a couple of others are all very knowledgeable and can help you out.

Odd all those flaky problems with both Asus and AsRock boards.

We've got an Asus Maximus Gene-Z and an AsRock Pro-M running with a 2600K/2500K respectively and both combos have been absolutely problem free and both OC very well.

The only motherboard I had problems with in a SB platform was a Gigabyte Z68-UD3H, and those were related to OC'ing instabilities that were resolved completely with its replacement by the Gene-Z.
