xeon processors do not come in 2mb size. At least not P4 xeons.. And no p3 xeon with 2mb cache existed at near that processor speed.

What an april fools joke.

This is so dopey, it's funny!

From theitr site:

<< Most notebooks in this class give you only 64MB of RAM but we've quintupled that to 4.5GB (3x1536 MB). >>

From Dictionary.com: Qunitupled

<< To multiply or be multipled by five. >>

Also, does Matrox even make laptop video? I checked their site, and the highest card they list is the G550desktop with 32meg ram

I can get a DVD/CDRW combo drive for another $39.95, but if I only want the CDRW it will cost me $149😕

I would jmp on this if it had a 15" screen

This is hilarious! But seriously, they do need to be hauled away in cuffs.

Which should I get in the laptop model

* DVD/CD-RW Combo Drive [add $39.95]
* CD-RW Drive [add $149.00]
* 8x (max) DVD Drive [add $99.00]

Isn't the CD-RW Drive option the best deal? Please help me decide before I purchase.

Also listed in the spec: 2 Phone Jack for Microphone In/Audio Output
Where can I find audio conversion adapters (1/4" to RJ11)?

15 Pin CRT Port? Does anyone know where to get a 14pin to 15pin converter?

ROFL.......... I just bought the laptop with dual Xeon........
I got the confirmation email and ETA is 5th May 2005........

ROFLMFAO I just got off the phone with 'Caprice'. We went through the specs one by one and he confirmed everything in the ad. I am convinced. I am going to buy one. How could I pass up a Belkin CD-RW and 4.5 GB of "7200 rpm RDRAM" (Yeah, I kid you not🙂) The thing that finally sold me, besides the fact that puased before he answered every question, was when he told me that I'd better hurry because they were only on sale till tomorrow then the price was going to go back up by "probly' like another coupla' hundred dollars"

This is great deal! The only way they can offer these at such fantastic prices is because they "manufacture everything themselves and stuff..."

I'm pretty sure he was drunk.

😀

>>>I got the confirmation email and ETA is 5th May 2005.<<<

Ah, they must have a contract with Dell to ship these things out quickly :Q At least by 2005 the system described will exist, and the prices will look more realistic.

Might as well get the most expensive one...if you're asking to get ripped off, might as well do it with a bang. Nobody's getting any of these anyway.

If you're buying one, you might want to do a quick check of your blood alcohol level too 🙂
