It's not a great camera by any means but the price is right for someone interested in getting into digital photograpy, a younger child, or as a banger you can alwasy carry in your car for those moments when you wish you had a camera.

You might want to change the title & text - I was so excited thinking I was going to be able to pick up a cheap compact flash digital camera for my Casio E-125 PocketPC PDA - I was disapointed to find it was only a regular camera.

Thanks anyway!!

do they ask for membership card if I am actually going to buy something?

back to the subject... 😉

the camera in socal is really hard to find. i went to a few sams and they have nothing in stock. It seems to be a clearance type item because regular B&M's arent selling them as much either so YMMV. I really wanted one of these too....

I always dream of having a digital camera sitting on top of my monitor.........grrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrr

Wow, i actually got to the last one from a store here in Orlando, FL. Sales person said they sold out like free condoms last weekend. Went to the customer service product lockup area and searched for it myself. Can't believe they actually had one sitting there. Turned out some idiot bought like 10 of them and ended up having to return a bunch cause of the rebate restrictions.

It may not be the best camera to get... but hey... it's free! 🙂

What rebate restriction? If there is one now, it was not there a few weeks ago.:Q I have a copy of the unrestricted form, but can's e-mail, or fax, or post it anywhere.

These cameras are decent for free. But they are fairly old... these particular ones were made in the later half of 2000. The date on my box says 10/31/00. Took a few snapshots already, looks good. Thank god it has a CCD lens and not a CMOS one. This doubles up as my webcam too. Awesome deal.

I do not see any restrictions on either the PDF rebate form or the HTML form on Intel's website. I don't know if I'd send for multiple rebates on one form or send all my requests out in seperate envelopes. Actually, I have one person trying to buy a bunch of them for me but I'm giving them to a few different people so everyone can apply for their own rebate. But it will all be on one receipt. Whatever.

Found them in Phoenix (Northsite address).

FYI: They are $39 here so the price can vary. They had some old and a few newer ones. The newer ones (off white) have an August 2001 date and the older (all black) have a late 2000 date.

The SKU is 794817.

The UPC is 735858149471
