Intel D975XBX2 + Corsair 6400C4D

I'm about to buy a system and the PC vendor recommended this board and RAM. But I see that the board specs are 1.8v or 1.9v RAM while the memory specs indicate 2.1v. Are they incompatible?

I have read some disturbing stories about this motherboard. Is it safe to buy one? Any advice, tips, tricks very much appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. I see that the spec on yoru Mushkin is 1.8v. Still not sure whether I'll have issues with the Corsair.

I appreciate the links. Whew, that's a lot to digest!

I hope someone can boil this down for me and basically say "It's safe" or "It's not safe."
