Intel D945 capabilities

Hello all, I'm putting together a socket 775 system together for my wife, the Intel board I'm going to use has the D945 onboard, is it able to play flash videos well enough to be useable?. The system will have an E4600 2 gig ram, no gameplay usage, just the playback abilities of this chipset.

Good, thanks. This board has no AGP or PCI express slots, just 2 PCI, I didn't really want to get into running video through a regular PCI as the chipsets available are very, very old.

For the time being it should be fine, but I think it'll show its age quickly. HD might be a CPU hog though.

Yea, I imagine it would, she won't be watching movies on it, I just want her to be able to watch youtube, ect without problems. Luckily for me her favorite is solitaire games LOL..

That's not going to play HD flash videos, that's for sure. It might play regular youtube ok. Don't know about Hulu, especially full-screen.

Can you not afford a 5450 or 6450? They are often $20 AR at Newegg.

I can but the board has no PCIE slot to put it in, the PCI version of a 5450 is $63, for less then that price I can buy a new 775 board with integrated GMAX4500 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130556
