Looking around Intel's site, it's unclear to me what to do ...

For large IDE drive support (>137 GB), is it necessary to install the IAA? Or will the BIOS support it, and I just need to make sure I have Windows XP Service Pack 1 installed to support the full size of the drive?

An additional question if anybody happens to know: If I have a Raptor 74 GB on a Serial ATA connector, and a Hitachi 7K250 drive on the regular P-ATA connector, which one will the board try to boot from? Can I make the Raptor the C drive, and the Hitachi the D drive?

Thanks in advance ...

I use 160GB drives on all my 875PBZ's with no issues at all. IAA is certainly not needed, but sp1 is.

I haven't tried using the IAA in over a year, but last time I tried it led to system stability issues (in XP, with an Intel motherboard no less). I personally don't mess with it. It's basically a gimick that caches stuff differently, isn't it?

You'll need XP with SP1 if you plan on installing on the large drive, otherwise install on the small drive (as you said you were) and install SP1 later. The BIOS should give you an option of which drive to boot from.
