"When overclocked, each core is running at 2.1ghz, giving a total processing power of 4.2Ghz!"
The guy is obviously clueless, if you want to believe he got it to 4.2ghz on air, feel free.
I did not say that I believed he achieved it on air! That?s why I put it to this Forum to get other's points of view backed up by facts. I was hopping for a more technical explanation as to why it?s impossible to do it on air with a Zalman (CNPS9500-LE) Cross Platform Cooling Fan and 4x120mm fans and 2x92mm fans, rather than a one-dimensional (The guy is obviously clueless, if you want to believe he got it to 4.2ghz on air, feel free) answer from such a senior member.
Maaybe he did briefly......before his system shut down..

I cannot speak for this gentlemans dual core....
I am not sure that 4.2 is even possible using a dual core.
Correct me if I am wrong but both cares would need to be o/c`d to 4.2!!
Have a nice day!!
Q: Hi what temp was the cpu at idle and under load please ?
15-May-06
A: Mid 50's when I was running Prime95. But I have 4x120mm fans and 2x92mm fans in my case as well, airflow is important. (case was a Thermaltake Armor)

That's interesting
I had my 3.2 running at 5.8 for a couple of weeks ,System showed no errors and was stable...CPU temp reached 55c at full load .. when I had multiple tasks running,,Azureus,Encoding a DVD while playing NFS.
Anyway that is on water and I dropped down to a more sensible 4.2 where I have been for the last 3 months.
5.8was extremely fast but a bit unnatural and was concerned about popping the CPU or something.
I recorded these results if you guys doubt this.

It's easy to have your CUP-Z results verified. I did almost 1 year ago, check sig (proud to say it's my longest lasting CPU/MB in years).
Funny, most benchmark programs say 'don't trust screen shots' There has to be some reason for that...

ohh that?s right tom's hardware and they are hardly credible anymore.

The item is not mine and if you were a bit more meticulous in your viewing you wound have picked up that the auction has ended on the 17 May.
If you were a little more meticulous in your searching, you'd have found that 805D overclocking has been beaten to death around here, and maybe even have stumbled into the CPU/Processing forum.
BTW, AXP @ 6GHz

I think 1.6Ghz is maybe a little too high volts for air...........

I have no interest in what the people over at Xtreme Stupidity do.
Throw up some CPU-Z verified screen shots @ 4.3GHz submitted by "Mr Vain".
Edit: by your math, my CPU is running @ 5.6GHz.

Actually, I'm not an AMD fan, or an Intel fan... I'm a performance fan. I can tell you that in the last ten years, I've used more Intel based systems, then AMD based ones. I'll also most definitely end up going back to Intel once Conroe/Merom is released.
Anyway, where's your CPU-Z verified linky?
