Hi,
I have a Gigabyte GA-8KNXP (v2) motherboard with a Intel 3.0GHz P4c CPU. The heatsink I have for the CPU is the Thermalright SP-94. I've tried a couple of fans on the SP-94, the first was the Vantec TD9238H Tornado 92mm fan. This kept the CPU cool, about 46 degrees, but was too noisy, so I tried a quieter one. The next one was the Vantec SF8025L Stealth 80mm fan, very quiet but the CPU temperature went up to 56 degrees. Is this too hot for this CPU and is there another fan I could try that is quiet and keeps the temperature lower than 56 degrees.
Is the Asus StarIce any good or is that noisy as well?
Hope someone can help.
Thanks
Best regards
Scott
