Intel Core i7 920 for $150 and 9800GTX+ for $89.99?!?!!

Intel X58 doesn't support SLI AFAIK, so that isn't going to work 😛

Good deal on the CPU though, but how many people are really going to get that deal?

The broadcast is noon to midnight (not sure what time zone).

It also says: "The Pink Friday drive will take place on TigerDirect.com/CompUSA.com and at TigerDirect retail stores located in Miami, Orland Park, IL, Naperville, IL, Hoffman Estates, IL, Raleigh, NC and Durham, NC as well as CompUSA retail stores located at Altamonte Springs, Brandon, FL, Clearwater, FL, Deerfield Beach, FL, Fort Lauderdale, FL, Fort Myers, FL, Jacksonville, FL, Miami, FL, Orlando, FL, Plantation, FL, Tampa, FL, West Palm Beach, FL, Hoffman Estates, IL, Naperville, IL, Orland Park, IL, Durham, NC, Raleigh, NC, Guaynabo, PR, El Paso, TX, McAllen, TX and Plano, TX"

yeah... it doesn't even list SLI on intels websight

DX58 on intels site

You guys are kidding me right?

Of COURSE SLi is supported on the X58 platform. And so is CrossFire. 🙂

SLI is supported on certain X58 motherboards that are certified by nVidia, not all X58 motherboards will work with SLI.

The manufacturers have to pay nVidia for SLI licensing, and Intel left that up to the board makers as to whether or not they wanted to pay for it; Intel's reference board doesn't support it.

Crossfire of course is supported on any X58 board as it is on previous X-series boards.

And very few boards will work with Tri-SLI; even some boards like the P6T, with 3 PCI-e slots, will not work because of placement (you can't fit 3 cards w/ dual slot coolers). That's why I'm looking at the Gigabyte boards, both the DS5 and the EX support Tri-SLI. Not that I'm necessarily going to getting Tri-SLI anytime soon.... but a cool feature to have nontheless.

I've got a Core i7 920 sitting here that needs a board + RAM......... please MS raise cashback on BF so I can buy it cheap on eBay! 😀

So is it possible to actually get any of these items or will it be like the amazon vote for deals where .1% of people who try actually get them....

Man, the CPU sale will only be up for an hour or less (their stock won't last 10 mins even). And you have to sit in front of your computer waiting for it to pop up? Sorry but some of us have a life instead of sitting in front of our computer for 12 hours...

I called and got through on the first thing (HTC Touch) with no prob. Haven't tried anything past that.........

They sold 24 pink zunes in just a few minutes. Wow.

If something most people don't want sells that quickly, there's no way I'll be able to get an i7 920 🙁

So far I have called on every item and usually get through in under a minute and by the time I do I get informed that the item is sold out. Even the DVD 100 pack that has been on the screen for the last 10 min seems to have sold out in < 1 min. This is such bull. The only item that I was given the opportunity to buy was the pink cd case, I wanted to see if it was even possible to get through.

If all the geeks would quit waiting on the 9800GTX and Phenom then we would be okay.

😛

Yes they post a phone number you have to call that they show on the webstream. They have 3 different numbers that I have seen so far that they use for different items. If I was not sitting at work right now I would not be waisting my time because it seems impossible to get anything remotely good.
