Over on their website at ncix.com, the sale has not started so you can't see their products on sale but on their facebook (http://www.facebook.com/NCIXdotCOM) they have a sneak peak and the Core i5 2500K is set to go for $189.99

The "Wicked Sale Event" starts at 8pm tonight pst and will stay at this price for a week

the 2500k is in stock but on the promo sale page it says out of stock

I can't add a 2500k to my cart for the promo price of 189.99, only 214.99

this is the US site...

what am I doing wrong?

edit: working now, I was on the 'wrong' sale page

make sure to click the wicked sale event banner I guess

Nevermind it just jumped back to its reg price. That is so wierd considering it just started an hour ago. I don't know honestly, I haven't bought from them before.

This has been getting good reviews. Cheaper by about 4 bucks at the egg but shipping is 7 bucks. 124.99 at Microcenter but you will pay local tax rate.

NCIX is doing good stuff since coming to the USA. The price match thing is awesome, they will even sometimes price match rebate pricing. So if like newegg has something for $200 after $30 rebate, they will price match it for $200. ymmv

I will most likely be going with the ASRock Z68 EXTREME3 GEN3 LGA1155. It sounds like a better overclocker - I have water cooling.

you have to click the wicked sale banner...I had the same issues at first

B&H has the M4 128 for $188

Looks like they are having some on-line ordering problems at the moment, but you can probably call them and lock in a price..

thanks but superbiiz has it for the same price and since I'm going to get a mobo from there as well I will find more stuff to buy to get my order over $500 and use coupon Pocket for $25 off. They also have coupon Dove for $5 off $25+.

I hope they have water cooling stuff I need like the raystorm cpu block...can't think of what else I need though since I bought ram, cpu already...maybe a better gfx card than my gigabyte 6850...hmm

edit: I'm only at $315 so I think I will have to get a decent new video card too lol. I got the dell u2412m monitor a week ago too.

Heh, $190 is the pricematch I got from NCIXUS back when Micro Center had that $150 special.

Microcenter seems to have the 2500k for $180.00 all the time, including now. It's B & M though.

I know, and 70 miles + tolls +tax from me. Still, I can bundle with certain Z68 motherboards for an additional $40 off...

Would this processor be a worthy upgrade to a Q9550? I currently have mine at 3.65 right now.

Still holding out for BF. Plus, I'm hoping that 2600k will start to drop a bit now with 2700k out.

At stock speed Sandy Bridge's IPC is roughly 22% higher than Core 2's, and it can overclock much higher with a cheap cooler. With an average overclock, you could end up with a CPU about 50% faster than the one you're using.

So, yeah, decent upgrade.
