It's back again! Microcenter has i3 2100 & MSI H61M-P23 motherboard comb for $119.98 + Tax. It is $20.00 more compare to last time but still a good deal.

Bundle and save
Ripped from FW.

Was just looking for this last night to replace my aging C2D E6600 build with something light-weight and Sata 3. Reserved for instore pickup. Good Luck guys.

Don't bother going to the St. Louis Park store. I just took the last H61M-P23 yesterday due to an RMA.

Well lets hope I get it this time.

Edit: Got it. Even for $20 more it's still a good deal

I'm debating if it's worth pickin up....Already did the instore reserve but didn't notice the MB only as vga output on it. Guess I'll see if my brother in law can pick it up for me as he's pretty close to it and coming over on Sunday anyways.

I got it as well. I saw a post on SD about a deal tomorrow on a i5-2500k and 1tb WD blue HD.

Bundle

If the reservation can hold until tomorrow, I'll get both bundles tomorrow.

SATA3? I don't think so.

The H61 chipset lacks the SATA3 ports. I know the printed specs list that they are included, but if you look at the motherboard picture, the SATA3 ports aren't even soldered in.

Chances are, they took the specs from the H67 board, in fact, they probably are the same board layout on the PCB too.

Oh well, I'll probably get rid of this and get a cheap H67 board.

I went to the St. Louis Park store today. They were out of the H61 boards. They substituted the H67MA-E35. I had to pay more ($149.99 after $10 MIR), but that is the board I wanted anyways since it has more SATA ports and HDMI.

Chicago/Central has 1 board left, Chicago/Westmont is OOS.

Maybe I'll swing by Westmont this Saturday. I'll be in St. Charles already, which is closer than Wisconsin. :p

Hell they emailed out the deal last night/early this morning and I bet they didn't have any of those Motherboards left when it went out.

So, couple things.

First, the bundle page has been pulled, so maybe the deal is dead as of this afternoon.

Second, some locations got more boards in stock. Chicago/Westmont was still OOS but Chicago/Central got a bunch in this morning. Two buddies of mine went over there to buy it, and I did an online order for in-store pickup. They allowed my buddies to pick the bundle up for me. I just checked before posting this and Chicago still has six motherboards in stock and 10 processors. Even though they pulled the page from their site, they should still honor the deal since it was emailed out. If you were on their mailing list, just print out the email and bring the printout with you.

I wonder who those buddies would be?

Picked up 3 of these as well as a 2500k and 1tb bundle.

Man, I hope that they have some of these left late Sunday. I'm going to the MIT flea, and then I might swing by Microcenter to pick one of these up. WAAAAY too tempting.

Albany St. Garage, in Cambridge, from 9am to 2pm, be there or be square!
($5 entry fee for buyers, I think. $20 a space for vendors. Opens for vendors at around 7am)

Just a heads up, even though the link for the bundle is no longer working, when you add both to your cart, deal looks to still be alive. My local store, St. Davids, also finally has some of the motherboards in stock now.

Also confirmed live in-store, as of Saturday 04/16. It took the sales reps a while to locate the deal, but it was there. The Cambridge, MA location had a dozen CPUs and at least as many boards last night.

Damn, forgot to stop after the flea.

How would the i3-2100 compare to my Q9300 chips at 3.0Ghz? The 2100 is 3.1Ghz (no turbo though right?), but it's only a dual-core, but with HyperThreading.

As long as you can deal with it being a dual core, will probably perform a bit better while using a lot less power.
