Not really. Although you posted this deal in that thread, the title does not mention this deal so people may not be aware that you can get this deal online. Other thread title:
"Intel Core 2 Q6600&ECS MB 299.99, at Fry's B&M"

Since no Fry's B&M around here I might just get this CPU deal but I've already spent too much in the past few weeks. :p

Damn, I am so close to pulling the trigger... But what is the point? Such difficult decisions... I have $1,750 to spend in my computer fund, but my current computer plays any game I want... Must resist... Must... Damn it, why do I have to be a computer geek? :-(

Thanks for the post OP. This probably is a good idea to pick-up, because they will probably be OOS nearly everywhere when the price hits $266 officially...

Dude hold on to that 1,700 you can probably get a cheap dell, with Core2, PCI-e and 1066 FSb for less than $300 in the coming months, right now you can buy a dell box that you can drop a q6600 in for a little less than 500. Unless you want to overclock that quad, or really want to build your own rig, dell is the best option @ the moment for cheap upgradeable boxes. if you can find one that doesn't force you to buy a monitor.

"Call for Availability"

That was fast. Looks like I will have to wait...
