I've spent over $100K at ZZF within the past 3 years, trust me, they are pretty good. :D

Yeah someone on slickdeals told me that they have pretty good ratings on pricegrabber. Now I am not sure what to do, lol. The other thing to consider is that nothing is going to get processed or shipped over the weekend now. Still might be worth waiting til sunday to see what happens. Newegg just paired the free SC game with the chip. Now all they need to do is drop the price!

You are being way too paranoid. Stop reading reseller ratings. :p They may not be the best site in the world but, I wouldnt worry. They have some of the best prices around for alot of things.

Actually, if you can wait, from the other threads around:

E6750 - 4MB - 1333MHz - 2.66GHz - 8x - $183 (August release & price)

This seems like it will fit the bill for me ;-) But I can wait a little bit longer...

Yep... I'm ready to pull now too... Anyone got some decent motherboard/heatsink recs? I really wanted some integrated wifi... but I guess thats optional :>

EDIT:

Besides paying out my ass... how does the ASUS P5B Deluxe/WiFi-AP LGA 775 sound?

ARGGGGHHH....I paid $308 for this SOB not but a week ago. I'm pissed......

FuMan...I paired my e6600 with the P5B WiFi and have not hit one problem. I read rumors of it being picky about RAM but my G.Skill 2x1 were fine. I wish I would have known that the WiFi eats up the front panel USB slots on the motherboard, but other than that, no complaints. Haven't messed around too much with OC'ing, put FSB at 333 x 9 for 3.0ghz on stock voltage, Zalman 9700NT

You know, if you have been around anytime in the past month, theres like 100000 threads talking about the price cuts. Did you not think they were going to actually happen? Just wait till next week, they will drop even more.

This is why I keep telling people to hold off until the price cuts April 22nd.

What he said.
ZZF usually has good prices, good shipping, good packaging etc.
So if you are sure that the item is 100% exactly what you need, and 100% that it will not be defective, then it's a good place to shop.
Otherwise, good luck dealing with CS.

LOL, I've spend over $100k there, you don't think I have?

I'd say 8/10 times an RMA goes through fine. I have had some instances were I have had to contact them for taking too long to get an RMA, and they responded fine. But I don't RMA for a refund, I RMA for a replacement.

I just checked that the E6300 I bought in Feb (oc to 3.2Ghz) dropped $7 on the egg.

I went for the NewEgg deal after having a horrible experience trying to RMA a stick of RAM at ZZF. Trust me, even if they are wrong and they were, they will not pay for return postage and they will charge a 15% restocking fee.
ZZF deserves to have a poor rating, they earned it.

Newegg is always my first choice, I bought an openbox mb, it was DOA, newegg gave me full refund and also sent a shipping label to me. Never had troubles with newegg.

Damn I am a retard...

You just learned the hard way the order that you buy parts for a new computer...

1) Case
2) Power Supply
3) Mothboard
4) RAM
5) CPU
6) Video Card

Sometimes you can get away with moving something slightly out of order if there is a REALLY GOOD deal, but otherwise you will be throwing money away. Cases and power supplies can be bought up to 9 months ahead of time without much risk of loosing a lot of value. Anything else, well, 3 months is a new CPU generation, 6 months is a new video card generation....

I have been building my new system over the last 8 months now. I have had my case and power supply since last October. The case is still the same exact price I paid (grant it, Lian-Li cases don't change in price very often, but still, you get the idea).

Wow you guys..... thats a long time frame to build a new comp. Honestly you should wait til you have all the money to buy within a 2 month time frame. When you wait 6 or 8 months or even longer, the whole game changes. Just about everything is outdated by that point.

He'll get his $99 C2D X6800 in around five years from now and it will be an old and slow chip like his P4 is now.

Hey VinDSL, run 32M Super PI on your EE P4 and let me know how it compares to this. ;)
