Slow down Cowboy!

Yes, it's a great price, but prices are going to drop even further after the 22nd. Intel's own suggested price drop is $224 for the E6600. You think the fiercely competitive Internet superstores like NewEgg and ZZF are going to stop at the suggested price? Do they do that now?

Hold out just a few days longer and you are going to save a boatload of money. Money that you will be able to use to buy an awesome heatsink that may allow you to overclock the E6600 to 4 f'ing GHz!

Just put the credit card down and step away until Tuesday or Wednesday. It will be worth it.

Damn I am a retard...

Intels Suggested Price drop was from $316 to $224. $316 was not far off from where prices were so I expect the $224 will be close too. Plus you get a free game and next week supplies might run short. Just my opinion and why I decided to make the leap now.

Maybe, or maybe they raise the price. :Q I didn't expect the 6600 to come down this low even next week. The $224 price was not a suggested retail price, it was a wholesale price for 1000 units.

Nice. Dont jump the gun though. Wait for next weeks prices.. :p

Oh also, by the way, the E6420 is slightly cheaper at clubit.com. They have the E6420 for $196 with free ship. :p

It's dropped far enough for me. I ordered the 6600. You can wait and wait and yes, the price will eventually go down more, but those tight purse strings will keep you from upgrading in a timely fashion. Like anything else, there is a limit to "delayed satisfaction".

The listing for the E6420 looks like it's been pulled from NewEgg. Doesn't show up anymore. They've been doing the same with the E4400. Was up last night for $159. Now it's gone. Not sure what the point of doing that is, considering these chips are officially available elsewhere now. Testing?

If they're trying to squeeze out every last bit on the current prices for the E4300 and E6300, they might as well just wait until next week to list the new one's.

Calm down chief. I dont think they were crapping on the deal. Just trying to save everyone a few more extra bucks. Nothing wrong with that. There are two points of view here. Buy now or buy later. You get to decide which option you wanna take :)

224 is oem for 1000 units.

i think considering its $11 more and you get a heatsink it isnt bad at all.

I've decided to wait for newegg to come through. zipzoom doesnt fare so well at reseller ratings. They have a 5.7/10 rating over the last 6 months. I'm not gonna take the risk.
