INTEL CORE 2 DUO E4300 OR E6300

hi guys, i'm going to get a new pc one has got a e4300 and the other has a e6300 the price diff in the pc's is £50 cheaper to get the one with the e4300 but which one is the better PROCESSOR all the other spec's on the pcs are the same

i know you guys know what your talking about so can you please help my decide
i do not want to do any overclocking

A better choice might be the e6320, which has double the chache for almost the same price as the e6300

I once had to choose between the two but I opted for the E4300 so I can get a Quad Core later on...:D

Unless you need virtualization I say the 4300 is a better deal. Won't be able to tell much difference in reality anyways...

edit: if budget is a big thing, I say the new Pentium Dual Core... Conroe-L... bang for the buck!

Dual-core will become even more usable as more and more programs are optimized for it. I would get the E6320 if possible, it's a dual-core, and has 4MB of cache, which helps with games, but hinders overclocking (but that doesn't matter to you).

I did the same. My chip is 3.3ghz stable on the stock cooler dual prime. Not bad for $114 US!
