I gotta say, these new Intel commercials are actually good, unlike their previous crapercials.

The Blue Man Group ones were still the best.

Oh DEAR LORD. I was about to reply with the EXACT OPPOSITE. I couldn't stand their antics.

Though I could imagine that the Blueman Group would be highly entertaining(and have cultural/artistic value to boot), I didn't like their Intel commercials. They were better than the Bunny Suit Men and those idiotic Aliens, but not much better. JMO.

I used a P4 system once.
Intel's netburst architecture really brought my experience to life with streaming media and interactive content.

;)

Boy, nothing like paying $100 more for a processor so Intel can pay for those idiotic commercials, eh?

Thinking about it - Aside from sponsoring Blackburn Rovers, I don't think I've ever seen an advert for AMD....

Agreed. I'd say something similar about AMD or VIA if they came out with an idiotic advertisement. It wouldn't be based on price, but I'd find something to complain about either of those companies as well ;)

Ehhh, but Intel's marketing for the P4 WAS stupid, it didn't magically speed up my dialup connection allowing me to experience better interactivity on the net...

The CPU is first class, i think everyone agrees on that, but the claims made... were just idiotic...

Yes, and to take full advantage of the Internet, don't forget that...

And don't forget about instant messaging. It ran like sh!t until I upgraded from a P3 to a P4.

Ah, it must be too easy to be in Intel's marketing division, selling to the ignorant masses.

Yes, and don't forget the Microsoft "Rich experience." What is it with 'rich?' Why is everything 'rich' ('cept me?)

That's how their chips tend to be lower in price than Intel chips. They deal more with OEMs than with the average end user, and as a result they can more easily sell at a lower price instead of plastering the television with millions of dollars in ads when consumers' minds have already been permanently stamped with the Intel name. That's not where they're likely to make the most money, it's with OEMs, enthusiasts, and businesses.
