Yep Newegg just charged me as well. Just logged into the site and it estimated to ship tomorrow.

Ordered at sometime between 3:15 and 3:25est for those wondering regarding if their order will be sent. I'm in Indy for work anyway right now so not going to mind not having the 2 day shipping as much. So pumped to get my build going though. Good luck hope everyone else gets their chips as well.

I ordered mine on the first Saturday after launch 😛

Is everybody going to just migrate hardware on the same installation or a fresh Windows install? Sorry to keep aksing about this; merely curious about how everyone gets on.

For those owning the Asus Hero; a new BIOS (0505) came out the 16th. I won't be OCing until the reaches the 1xxx stage; I simply cannot be bothered redoing it with every BIOS update.

Hmm... I ordered the morning of the 5th and haven't received any confirmation. Hoping it ships soon, I'd love to play with it this weekend.

Now that the order has changed from backorder to verification status I don't think it will show me the original time but I believe I ordered just after midnight PST on the 5th. I stayed up half the night to see if they'd be available right at midnight.

I'm hoping to just migrate but we will see how it goes. Not sure if I'll be able to or not since my last mb died and I'm not sure what my Win 10 key was when I did the upgrade from 7. I never signed in with a MS account.
 
Whoa, didn't even think about that. I upgraded an ages old W7 install to W10 right before the deadline. Will it function or will it screw up when I change mb/cpu?
 
Windows 10 Pro can be bought for under $20 on most hardware forums classified sections or r/microsoftsoftwareswap

Fresh install for me just to be safe. I have already secured erased my 960 pro.

I did use a MS login. You can download a tool and read out your key.

Yeah it does feel better to do a fresh install. It's the tuning I dislike (tuned mine to the bone)

Why aren't you building a Coffee Lake system?

Not here: €129,00 is the cheapest. There's a site selling for 16 euro but 9/10 got multiple already in use keys at first so I don't trust them.

Thanks for everyone's input on the fresh install thing, I think I will do so as well. Safer and cleaner. Already made a GPT USB with the latest creator's update.
 
If you already have Windows 10, use the computer it is installed on and Media Creation Tool to create installation media for Home and Pro editions. I can put Windows 10 on any computer free, but not activated, which changes just 2 functions: watermark to activate and no Personalization (in Settings).

EDIT: If the computer is previously activated, this method's installation is activated. Not activated concerns "new" computers, from Microsoft's perspective
