This was the interesting part for me, and is he a moderator ?

He works at (runs?) the shop, so he definitely has insight into the quantities that they'll be getting.

Sounds like this is just Skylake all over again 🙁

I didn't prep myself for an all-nighter so knowing my luck I'll wake up and they'll all be gone.

Yeah I've seen him make such peculiar statements time and again right before a launch.

Thinking I won't buy a board unless I can get a CPU to go with it. Time to go to work through the heavy rain, and miss the launch aw 🙁
 
I'm still running Bloomfield (thankfully the overclock to 4ghz held stable all these years) so it's going to be supremely annoying if I can't score Coffee Lake. I nixed upgrading to Skylake a few months ago when I first heard about these having 6 cores.

I checked compsource.com the have an ETA on the i7 8700k for 10/19. They price is high but from them and shopblt the eta average seems to be 2 to 3 weeks.
 
I will wait until the absolute value of 12 o clock. If that's am or pm I don't know. Ima buy that sucker and slang it on ebay, but then change my mind and install it in the rig instead.
 
Seems the Asus Maximus X is no where to be found for launch. Wonder if i should try a Gigabyte board?

Its 2:18 am Eastern Time in Philly im praying for Microcenter.
 
Was searching z370 motherboards on amazon and found listings for the 8100, 8350k, 8400, and 8600k. Lists the 8600k as out of stock

kind of weird
