Intel Chipset Drivers

When installed, do they appear in Control Panel\Installed Programs? I see nothing referencing the Intel 915 Chipset installer on Windows XP Media Center, on an Alienware DHS-2.

I just did a clean installation of Windows XP Media Center but I have no network connection or audio. Drivers for these devices, I understand, come with the chipset drivers.

The chipset installer from Intel runs fine, no problems or errors. But after restarting I still have no audio or network connection.

So how do I know if these chipset drivers are really being installed? What am I missing?

Do chipset drivers need to be installed as Administrator? With a PW? (That's not how I have the machine set up right now - I created a user with my name and skipped the PW.)

Thanks!

Thanks! I have the network adapter installed and the audio drivers are next.

But why does the front panel on this Alienware DHS-2 still say STARTING UP?

Did I miss a driver? Or is this something that needs to be updated with the Chipset drivers?

Thanks again.

Check on Dell's site for it. You should be able to enter the service tag and it will list all the pertinent drivers. Just look for one that you have not already installed.
