Intel C-State Tech

I put a old 775 Xeon E3110 into MSI P45 my backup PC.
Bios now has new setting called Intel C-State Tech.
It seem the Intel C-State Tech gives the cpu control of
power management instead of the chipset.
CPU runs 3450 prime stable with 1.08-1.2v with C-State
Tech on cool for summer heat.
(Questions)
Do I leave it on or leave off default is off.
Does C-State only effect the idle.
Will it work on overclocking with core volts at +.2v.

Up to you. Leaving it on will throttle the chip down when not at load, and will save a bit of heat/power.

Yes. However, it can occasionally cause problems when you're planning to OC. I personally prefer to shut off throttling when I'm overcocking, but it's not a absolute rule.

Play around and see. Leave it on, do some testing. If you have issues, shut it off. It should be fine, but doesn't hurt to test!

Thanks for the info

My second PC raises the temp around it by 10° xfire
had to move that PC closer to ac.
After seeing the the lower vcore it seemed good to have
one cooler PC for the hot summer.
