Looks to be a retail box.

You get a 3 year warranty, box with cables and a back i/o plate.

the OEM is only a 1 year warranty I believe and very limited accessory bag.

This IS the retail boxed version. I've mentioned it before in other threads about MicroCenter. I live close enough to two of their stores that I go once in a while.....they do not have an OEM version of this board anywhere in their store. I don't think I've ever seen an OEM version of any motherboard anywhere in the store, actually. I'm sure they do exist, but they certainly don't advertise them at all. (What's neat is there is a Fry's, MicroCenter, BB, CC, and CompUSA all within a mile of one another.....makes for some interesting PM'ing!)

They do sell OEMs in some things on the sales floor.....some Samsung hd's, Samsung opticals, and two Sony opticals. The prices on those are very competitive, but that's about all I've ever noticed. Everything else is a retail-boxed product, as they should be as they are primarily a retail B&M store.

Got mine this morning and run 370 easy 1:1 with the cheapest ballistix 5300 4-3-3-14... Great to be using such a quality board!

After spending a day wrestling with a P5N-E which, which I can't get to boot 100% of the time at stock speeds (E4300, 2gb Kingston ValueRAM DDR2-800), I'm this close to giving this beast a try.

I still haven't gotten mine yet and I ordered it on 1/31/07. Is MC this bad in shipping my order? Heck, they don't even have a way to check the status online.

From what I read, it looks like the only limitation is the max bus speed that the board is capable of. I, personally will be using the board for a high-end cpu and it needs to be pretty close to silent, so that is why I chose it.

looks like any orders made at least since last Saturday are in limbo... not in BO status but not shipping or processing either. Their "time to ship" estimate has gone from 1-3 days when i ordered, to 5-7 days, now back to 1-3 days.. :confused:

Never ordered from MC before, what is their processing time to shipment? I called this AM and got 'your order has not gone into BO status yet, but it may'. How freaking long does it take to KNOW if you have enough of something to satisfy 'xx' number of orders?

Same with me....Ordered mine sat.

Said 1-3 day on shipping which should have been by yesterday.

Called them and they said it hasnt shipped yet....but not backordered. And they could not tell me if it would even ship this week or not.

exactly what happened here too. I was pretty close to canceling and ordering one for $16 more total from mwave, but the fellow at MC said "the order is kind of in limbo at the moment, I can't cancel it until it goes into backorder". So...

The Bad Axe 2 board rocks overall and if don't want or use SLI, even better, seeing that the board has been out for much longer than the 680i boards, the board itself has had time to mature and become more stable. If you do however, the 680i board is the only option really.
