Any estimates of Intel's CE5300 Berryville performance? I'm kinda curious how it stacks up against the top ARM options and PowerPC. I just bought a dual-core PowerPC based NAS, and I'm thinking CE5300 will be somewhat faster with the same ballpark power consumption, but I didn't want to wait until next year's models to get one and there was no guarantee it'd be used in the class I wanted anyway.
The hardware video transcoding offered by CE5300 will be a bonus, but I'm wondering if support by open source 3rd parties will be spotty, esp. since cheap streaming devices in 2013 like sub-$200 tablets and sub-$100 media players already support 1080p H.264/VC-1 decode natively. No need for transcoding by the server.
