How come Core Duo notebooks dont come with this app pre installed? I have an ASUS v6j and it didnt come on the system. I am thinking of putting it on since I do use IDE, and can only find it beneficial.
 
I find no issues with this driver. I think the notebook manufacturers don't bother due to laziness or I don't know what, but they seem to simply use the built-in XP driver and call it a day. Yeah, it works, but you can eek out slightly better performance with the latest intel ATA Accel drivers.
