Triple PCI Express x16 Slots
Three PCI Express x16 slots are provided on this motherboard: one primary PCI Express x16 (electrical x16 or x8) slot, one secondary PCI Express x16 (electrical x8) slot and one PCI Express x16 (electrical x4) slot. This makes it possible to have three graphics card installed on one system, with flexibility to install all types of PCI Express expansion cards.

newegg claims this.

so I hear people are actually trying to put in three graphics cards in at once. anyone come across anything like that?

i doubt it would work with 3 gpu's on 3 diff. slots. but I mean, you suppose it would work anytime in the future?

even if you did plug 3 diff. gfx cards in, you could probably still run it if you shut the other two slots off?

whatever the case, I'd like to know. I know PCI slots offered this kind of flexibility if you had an AGP slot, dual graphics options to display dual outputs, but with current graphics cards already being able to, little find the need. still interested if x64 is offering such an option, pci-e, agp, pci, whatever.

you probably can't run sli on 3 gpu's right now, but any feedback would be awesome.
