I'm upgrading the cpu first & then the ram................ (money is tight) **LOL**
Ok so I have an Intel 865PERL MB & currently run a P4 2.66/533 w/ 1gig of Mushkin 2-2-2 High Performance pc2700 ram.
I want to upgrade at the moment to a P4 3.20/800. (will buy pc3200 ram later)

Question is: Will I notice any diff. in the downgrade memory clock from 333/320 ?
Got this info below from Intels website.

To use this type of DIMM... The processor's system bus frequency must be...
DDR400 800 MHz
DDR333 800 or 533 MHz (Note)
DDR266 800, 533, or 400 MHz

Note: When using an 800 MHz system bus frequency processor, DDR333 memory is clocked at 320 MHz. This minimizes system latencies to optimize system throughput.

Thanks for any input :)

That isn't much difference so it should not be noticable outside of certain benchies. The clockspeed should make for a nice boost though if you do DC projects, video encoding, that kind of thing.
