Here are the links to the past Official Motherboard threads for your reference. Some of these motherboard threads are still actively used but we've been forced to move them from the top of the forum because the stickied threads were greatly outnumbering the new threads:

What? no ASUS P4P800? I heard this board was near the top of the line product. You might consider adding it to your list.. Its 865PE chipset, but I'm sure you knew that already.

Thanks,

Gorillaman

Whoops! ok i'm an idiot... Just had to look a few threads down. Thanks again Evan.

Now that all these threads are 1000+ posts long and some are 1500+ posts long, would it be possible to make a FAQ on each containing known issues, and fixes if any? Trying to go through these threads to find info on a problem one may be having is impossible to do in any timely manner.

I'd like to second this. Having to plow through a thousand post thread defeats the purpose of centralizing all the info in place- it is no longer a convenient repository of information.

It's near impossible to find all or even most known issues with every board. If we do it with one board we'd have to do it with all boards.

It's possible, but not likely only because we'd be trying to cover every single possible scenario and configuration issue, if we actually wanted to do a good FAQ.

Bummer 🙁 It would be nice to see one on the P4C800-E since that's your testbed. 😀

Could anyone please help me!!!!!!!!!???????

This is driving me mad!

When I boot on my ASUS P4C800, my LCD display is blank up until the point that windows starts.

This means I get no POST and I cannot enter the setup.

When the LCD display (Dell 2001FP) is connected to my graphics card (ASUS v9950u Geforce FX 5900 Ultra 256MB) using the analog cable, then everything is fine. Also, when I both my LCD and my SONY 17" CRT monitors plugged together on the VGA (DVI and Analog), then only the CRT monitor shows the post during the boot, and then they both work when winXP Pro starts to load.

I have flashed the bios (blah, blah) numerous times (1016 revision at the moment) with no result....

My system's configuration is:

- ASUS P4C800
- P4 2.8GHz (800 MHz FSB)
- 4 x 256 Kingston DDR PC3200 Hyper-X - running dual channel
- ASUS v9950u - Geforce FX 5900 Ultra 256MB (thinking of flashing it to v9980u although this story is not encouraging at all - I have both BIOSs if anyone is interested)
- 350W PSU
- Dell 2001FP (20" LCD) - 16ms - 1600x1200 with DVI-out, D-SUB, S-Video and Composite Video inputs.
- SONY CPD-G220 (17" CRT) - max 1600x1200.
- 2 x 80gb WD800JB (8mb cache)
- ASUS CD-RW 52x
- SONY DVD-ROM 16x

Some help would really be appreciated - as I've been on this problem 2 days now...

PLEASEEEEEEEEE

Thanks

(PS: By the way, does anyone know how to make my LCD and CRT monitors' USB hubs work?)

Sorry, I forgot to mention that the system has been working fine since I built it (some 6 months now) and the problem appeared right after I tried to mess with the "MyLogo" feature of the motherboard.

I should also stress that the (LCD only) monitor (and again only when using the DVI-out - with the analog d-sub, everything is fine)

Thanks. Any help will be much appreciated.

Dimitris

I have one. 🙂 the 865PE Neo2 is a great board. got some geils ddr550 running, kicked my 2.4c to 3.3ghz with 1:1 (275mhz). I also have the performance set on Turbo (Enabling secret PAT ...shhhh)
I'm running the bios v1.9.
I tried v2.1 and it sucked, wouldn't let me overclock too far.
I have bios v2.2 on my other box and overclocking seems fine.
