OK. Picked up an Albatron motherboard. Intel 845PE chipset. Installed it using a GEFORCE2-MX AGP video card. System will not power up with the card in the AGP slot. When I remove the card, system powers up. Motherboard manual says I need a 1.5v AGP card and the motherboard is protected against non-1.5v cards. I can't tell if the GEFORCE2 card I have is 1.5v or not. There are no markings on it. I'm assuming its not. I take it I will also have to buy a newer video card? Are they all 1.5v these days?

I'm not sure what voltage the GF2 runs at, but since its an old card there's a possibility that its 3.3V only. All recent AGP4X video cards are 1.5V but will also run on older 3.3V AGP slots.

The Albatron 845PE boards support AGP cards running at 1.5V only. I believe the GF2 MX200 requires 3.3v.

Time to upgrade your video card.
