Intel 730 power consumption

All reviews for Intel SSD 730 power consumption are pretty bad, does it by any chance allow enabling HIPM+DIPM to save power when running on a laptop ?

Intel SSD 730 doesn't support any low-power modes, so to answer your question HIPM+DIPM are not supported either.

Dude, the 730 is not built for laptop power efficiency. Seen too many threads knocking this awesome SSD because people are complaining about power consumption from an enterprise SSD.

Sadly it is the only SSD from Intel that perform close enough to Samsung's SSD.

Intel 530, which has very good power consumption, lacks allot in performance.

The 730 is typically slower than several newer SSDs, with low power modes, such as the Sandisk Extreme Pro. If you have to buy Intel, the 530 is what to get, but Samsung and Sandisk both offer high performance for client machines, if that's more what you're after.
