Here is want happen today! I downloaded the wrong Samsung Magician software previously. There are two software programs: One for transferring the contents and the other is for just info on Samsungs and other SSD in your PC. It just a basic info and you can use it to erase content and make additional partitions too!

So, I clone the Samsung 860 Evo which is really a few clicks and it automatically done for you. I just took the cables - power and unit from the optical drive and connected them on to the 860. The Thinkstation used a proprietary unit SATA cable; which is why the Lenovo Intel SSD has a proprietary connector to it that different from that of regular SSD drives. I just took the optical drive unit SATA cable and remove it and used it to operate my new Samsung 860 and went to Lenovo online to order a new Lenovo unit SATA cable with the right end. It was pretty pricey too! Wait for it to come now so I can use my optical drive again!

It seems faster since my Chrome browser webpages are instantaneous and it boots up about 1/2 the time then the Intel SSD.

Yeah, the Magician program is for updating your firmware, monitoring the drive's health, and turning on Rapid mode. Samsung Data Migration is for cloning.

Good to hear it turned out good though!
