well, i'm finally upgrading to DSL, and need to buy a NIC, so should i just get a generic one real cheap, or spend some $$$ on Intel or 3com products?
what is the real differance, except for brand name? (i know the generic nics work well, and are supported by alternatice OSs)
 
Well, for just DSL I would get any of the above...It really doesn't matter.. After all, you only need to get 1500k thru the pipe, and you have at least 30x that with about any noname nic... I would spen $20 and get a Netgear though.
