Intel® Extreme Tuning Utility (Intel® XTU) version 4.2, AppTune

I came across new version , with some new features and thought some might like to know about it .
I haven't installed XTU but I follow development work .

This version supports new beta feature AppTune which basically links a OC profile to a app so when that app runs it loads that profile .
There seems very little info ever listed on XTU but this site describes many of new features and how it works .

I know some here use XTU , so might be interested in it .

I scored 806 marks at stock! 😀

Edit: Woah, that's actually quite slick... Trying to think of a way to really optimize it for my needs. Specifically if I can hit a higher two core burst turbo at lower voltage than four at the same clock speed, could be fun to play with for a few hours.

With Haswell I would definitely try staggered clocks to keep heat down , I think you could keep wattage and heat <= with higher clocks on few cores .

Will this work with my 3770k? Right now I have the chip OC'd in the BIOS to 4.5Ghz. I have the previous version of Extreme tune and the chip runs stable for hours. Also runs stable for Prime 95, OCCT etc and Intel Burn Test.

According to what I read full support is for sandy+ and sandy-E .

Only thing I am not sure is if you have already OC your bios will XTU have all options to edit .
You might have to set optimize defaults but not sure on this . If older version work it probably work now as it suppose to add features .

I think new version have auto -update to for versions .
