Sys specs
AMD athlon 3200+90nm
1gb corsair value select memory
Leadtek 6600gt
120 gb seagate sata2 HDD
OCZ modstream 520
MSI neo4 platinum
Logitech x530 5.1 speakers

Is anyone having a problem with their surround sound speakers and their integrated sound? I have the latest Realtek drivers and my speakers just wont work with them. When i run the auto test in the sound manager my front center, rear speakers and my subwoofer works, however my front two speakers refuse to work no matter what. When i tried it with regular speakers they sounded when the rear speakers were supposed to sound. I think its a driver issue but I have no idea how to fix it. Anyone got any ideas?

i have creative 6600 speaker setup. 6 speakers and a subwoofer and i can get sound out of all of them just fine. have you updated drivers?

what i had to do to make them work is right click on sound manager.
then go to speaker configuration and pick 6ch speaker.

I have all the latest realtek drivers, itried both the drivers from my mobo CD, from teh realtek site, and the MSI site, and none of them work. I have it on 6 channel sound in teh sound manager, however on the right where i pick 8ch-spdif, 6ch+ spdif+optical, 6ch+SPDIF, and 6 ch, the "6ch" selection iis greyed out for me and i cant select it.

its grayed out for me to.
are you sure you plugged the speaker cables in the right colors of the soundcard.
the black, orange, and green port are for the surround sound.
the other colors are for line in, mic in.
ive messed that up before.

yep im pretty sure all the connectors are in the right slots. rofl it was the first thing i checked because it wouldnt be the first time i plugged something in the wrong slot before. I think its a problem with realtek. I scoured google a bit and it seems like there are others who have had the same problem, still looking for a solution though...
