Heres a current mod I'm working on. Tell me what you all think.

The base was made with PVC pipe with the center portion cut out to recess the fans, Intake will be provided from 2 80mm fans in case bottom, drawing air from 3- 60mm grilled openings(no fans) at both front and rear of base.

The case bezel has a 120mm panaflo behind the 4-60mm grilled openings and also a 40 mm fan to cool the hard drives.

2-80mm exhaust fans at rear of case. 6 fans total.

The 3 grills on top of case do not have fans, just an escape for the rising hot air.

umm, make sure those intake fans are on a rheobus or something... 60mm fan noise drives me insane. is the whole front of that case fans or just grills?
 
The 4 grills on bezel have a 1-120mm fan behind it. The grills on the base do not have fans behind them, the intake is provided by 2-80mm fans at bottom of case.
 
Wow! That's some nice work to that case! I have the same case! Was yours originally an AT case, or always ATX?

The case is an antec KS282 I had setting in the closet. Since this was my first case mod, I thought I'd practice on it. Next I'm going to do my SX 840, but add forth intake on the base, put a couple of 120mm fans in instead of the 80mm and paint it black.

wow, that definitely looks nice. and if you don't mind the noise, then it's perfectly fine. but if you do, i recommend what chefjoe suggested - power down those 60mm fans.
 
I dont think it will really be noisy. There are no 60mm fans behind the grills . Just 4-80mm and 1-120mm and 1-60mm to cool the hard drives. Everything will be hooked into a rheobus also to help on noise control.

All kidding aside, that's an awesome case mod. Congratulations on a sweet job.
