Intake fan filter?

I was wondering if it is alright to use an old dryer sheet as a filter for the front of the case?
I can't find any filters to fit my case so I am having to make a home made one.

i use an old dryer sheet for both intake fans and it works great.
just need to replace them every two weeks since there is too much dust here.

I used the air-conditioning units filter, it is a soft foam, maybe 1/2 or 1/3 inch thick. You can easily cut it with scissors and even fold it into shape.

I use one of those nice metal filters and this thing works great compared to what I expected. Try to make this work if it all possible.

Have you gone to 2coolTek? They sell filters, I've got an 80mm one in my case. Works great, and it's washable too.
