Instrument panel problems

2001 Buick Regal. The electronic odometer doesnt work. I suspect that the instrument panel is bad. Before I tear it apart and send it in to be repaired is there something else I should look at?

is your speedometer working? I would check/replace the vehicle speed sender first. It should be near the differential.
