Insteresting Disclaimer for Email Signature

I saw this in an email from a colleauge. I wonder what happened to make this organization feel compelled to require this signature. :)

there are a bunch of people where i work with similar disclaimers

some of them are pretty high level manager/directors too

it started about 3 years ago, i am not sure of the impetus for it

it's so the top brass can say hey we didn't say that, he said that, when they get busted and the gov. is going through all of their internal memos.

"National Education Association" sounds like a policy making entity. They probably want policies made via formal declaration. Thus anyone representing them is simply speaking for themselves unless they are making said "formal declaration"
