there are so many different situations, how can they all be covered?

like: my girlfriend dumped me, i feel like dying
or: i think my girlfriend is going to dump me, i want to cry
or: should i dump my girlfriend cause i think she might dump me?!

see, look at that!

i think ppl will be too lazy to go searching thru some collection of YAGTs, when it's so much easier to b!tch and moan here.

I think the people that post lack common sense because they either like, love, fantasize, or is completed infatuated with the female in question.

The only generic advice I can think of is this:

"There is a girl that I like"
advice: Ask her out.

Look, when you have a community in which the vast majority of the population are computer geeks with no social skills and even less tact and understanding of the female psyche, you're bound to get tons of YAGTs that are pages long yet address a very very simple issue which could be asked and answered in less space than this paragraph.

i.e. Was this girl flirting? / Does she like me? / She has issues / Ex-b/f is psycho / I got rejected / I got dumped / Controlling g/f

ad nauseum.

Simple solutions:
Girl not yours yet? Grow a pair. ask her out. You'll either get a date or get rejected. Life goes on.
Girl not yours and has issues? Grow a pair, don't let her use you as a doormat. She's not your friend, you're just convenient.
Girl is yours and her ex has issues? Confront the ex. Problem solved.
Girl is yours and has issues? Dump her.

Everything is SO SIMPLE but people insist in elaborating and embellishing everything because they think that somehow, despite the vast majority of relationships that have begun and ended in the history of time, that theirs is somehow unique and not answerable using the current resources of knowledge.

Amnesiac 2.0 hit the nail on the head here. It is due to the makeup of AT that we have those crappy threads.
