A while ago a friend of mine was telling me about an App that allows you to manage all your IM programs at once. AIM, YIM, ICQ, ect. Does anyone know of such an app? Thanks.
 
Trillian is good, kinda annoying though. not as much functionality as i had with AIMutation.
 
Does Gaim work with GTK+ 2.8.x yet? I have GTK+ 2.8.9 installed and I can't connect to AIM. I saw the entry on the Gaim sourceforge GTK+ bug tracker about it not working with 2.8.9 (and even 2.8.15), but I just saw that 2.8.17 is out and I was wondering if anyone has tested Gaim with it yet. I know I could revert to 2.6.10, but The GIMP seems to run a lot better on my machine with 2.8.9, so I'd prefer to just keep it installed if 2.8.17 doesn't work with Gaim.

GAIM is my choice Windows/Linux client; when version 2 is finally released it will be much better.

Otherwise, on my Mac, Adium FTW! 🙂
 
Miranda will do this as well, designed for low footprint though, if you want the bells and whistles associated with the original programs go for GAIM/Trillian.
