InstallShield 6 Password Protected Install

Gaunt

Senior member
I am trying to create an installshield pro 6 based installation (not windows installer) that is password protected, and guarded against the user simply extracting the files outside of the installer. Here is my problem: The password for the installation is stored in the .hdr file that is distributed with the installation media, and it is in plaintext. This is not what I would call secure.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Is there something I overlooked with the creation of my installscript?
