Installing...

I've just bought a new GF3, but aren't sure as to the best way to install it. I'm currently running a Voodoo 3 3K in my AGP slot, so that has to go; the question is should I just reformat my C: drive or would it be faster (and easier) to remove them from the registry... and what are the specifics involved in doing so.
Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks,
IWG

Thanks for your help!
One other question though:
I've heard that the Voodoo drivers will cause all kinds of trouble if I don't remove them- is this true and how should I go about removing them?

You might check out the Guides Here. Other than updating Video drivers and making sure you're running in AGP 4X, I'm not sure. I am not that familiar with GF3's, although I did have a Voodoo3 with TV Out. I am currently using a Radeon LE with TV Out.

I've done all I can think of (including a reformat), but I'm still only getting around 50-FPS in CS and worse in other games.... any ideas?
Edit:
Upon further inspection, I've noticed the when CS is run in D3D mode at 1200x780 I get around 10 or 12 FPS! What the heck is going on here?

Hmm, your processor are quite small compared to those used in most tests, but the fps you get are still way, way too low.
You have made sure that there's isn't used any fsaa? There's a tab for it in advanced driver options, for some reason it often reverted to 2x with my old GF2 Pro, but 2x shouldn't give such a drastic performance decrease.

What GeForce3 is it? Ti200, regular or Ti500? Brand? What driver do you use? (now that's a lot of questions...)
