Installing XP on new system

I'm installing XP on a system I just built and was wondering what (if any) Pathches, drivers, etc. I need to make it perform as it should.

This is the config...

ASUS A7v 133
AThlon 1.13 (thunderbird)
256 PC133
20 gig 7200 rpm maxtor
52x cdrom
ati radeon VE
sb pci 128
win xp home edition

Thanks in advance...

Also it's reccomended you install the latest Via 4-in-1's, but I've never had to, so I don't know if it makes that big a difference.

I have never installed the Via4in1s

I installed the VIA AGP Gart Drive and got a BSOD on re-start..

You should be able to go out of the box, with just a windows update 🙂

windows update =after you get your internet up and running. Go to the start menu then all programs
and click on windows update (should be the second one from the top on the list.

this takes you to the microsoft web site to scan your computer to check what you need for compatability.
I usually only update drivers there though

if you need further assistance just ask.

hope this helps
