Installing Windows XP while keeping the other Win2K NTFS partition...ok?

Hi guys,
I have a system with a 40GB HDD partitioned into 3 parts, all running NTFS. I used to be running Win2K SP4, patched all the way up to very recently(i.e. no outstanding critical patches at all). C: is my OS partition, D: is my software partition and E: is my data partition. Now, I've decided to install Win XP Pro, so I'm wondering if I can simply format C: with NTFS and install XP there, while keeping the other 2 partitions. IIRC there are some minor differences between XP NTFS and 2K NTFS, or is there? Would it work? My data partition wouldn't need to be touched, since its just data(pictures, videos, mp3s, etc) but obviously I understand that my software will have to be reinstalled. I'll just keep the old ones as a backup temporarily in case I need some of the data/config files from the old installations.

So, any problems with doing this? Thanks!

It should work just fine, Goi, XP will read any version of NTFS past NT 4.0 SP6, and Win2k's version is basically identical - you'll have all your files on the other partions.

I've switched between XP and 2K plenty of times (as I bought XP, but my computer runs like a dog with it, so I get frustrated and load 2K, then I feel pissed that I wasted money for XP, so I go back lol, but now I run linux ;), and sold XP!). But ANYWAY lol, my data drive is NTFS (now ReiserFS ;)) and has worked fine!
