I need to know which components of my system will need windows 2000 patches or not. I tried visiting some of my hardware sites but couldnt find windows 2000 updates for them. Pls tell me which things I will need patches for. ALSO, is there a site where I can check to see if I need patches or OFFERS WINDOWS 2000 PATCHES?
All help is always appreciated. thx guys :)

NTCompatible.com is a great place to find out what hardware/software will not work. Readers like you or I that actually have and use the hardware/software write in and tell everybody what the latest drivers are and if games/software work.

Windrivers.com has just about any windows driver you could ask for. If they don't have a company certified driver there is definitely a generic driver out there. As far as patches go I would download the Service Pack 1 update and apply that. After that make sure you check into windows update and get the latest (march I think) compatibility update. This last one fixes stuff directly related to certain software that has had problems with win 2k.

Luck!!! I think you will end up liking 2000. Stable, secure. Especially compared to 98.
