Installing Win2k question

Ok, here's the dumbest question ever to be posted:

I want to install Win2k on my D: drive that I formatted for Win98 earlier. I have no data on there that I will mind losing. Can I just put the Win2k CD in the system, and specify D: later in the install program, or does it only install on drive C:? I told you it was dumb...

Yes you can,

During setup you can specificy the partition you want 2000 to install. NOT when upgrading from w95/98 etc. since 2000 then installs itselfs in the same folder as w95/98..

so i choose the new install of win2k and not the "upgrade" button, and then after restarting and all that crap i can select the d drive?

During the installation, you won't necessarily see a driver labeled D: but rather you will see a list of partitions as they stand on your drive right now. It is safe to assume that the 2nd partition is your D: drive. Regards
