Installing Win2k from HD?

thats because setup.exe is a windows program, the one that runs if you start the installation from within windows. there is no .exe file to run to start installation from dos, that is why you boot from the floppies/cdrom.

if there is a way to do this, id love to hear it.
 
I've already though about booting with the cd but my Laptop doesn't have any internal floppy or cd-rom drive. I have a USB cd-rom drive but once you get into dos, drivers wont load..and buslink hasn't gotten back to me about the dos drivers yet.
 
when installing win2k, dos is not involved... to boot from the win2k cd, all you need is bios support. see if you can enable usb boot from the bios
