I've recently changed motherboards (MSI SLI-FI to Gigabyte EP45 UD3P), but when I install the video drivers with the new motherboard my sound will crackle.

I've tried multiple video drivers (169.xx, 178.xx, 180.xx, and 182.xx) and it happens on both my Razer Barracuda AC-1 and onboard.

I've also tested it in both PCI slots.

Here's the system:

Vista Home Premium x64 SP1
Q6600
Gigabyte EP45 UD3P
Super Talent DDR2-800
EVGA 8800 gts 512mb
Razer Barracuda AC-1
WD Caviar Black 1tb
Logitch Z-5300e

The only thing that's changed is the motherboard, and Vista was reinstalled with the new motherboard.

Sounds like the motherboard has an issue with the onboard souond. Time for an RMA or a sound card.

Sounds like the motherboard has an issue with the outboard sound, too. You might need to RMA the mobo.

I've disconnected the DVI cable to my secondary monitor (Westinghouse lvm-37w3se) and the sound works while only running the primary monitor (NEC 20wmgx2).

Has this happened to anyone else?
