Installing the OS on a separate hdd( 2 harddrives)

I'm going to have 2 hdds, not raided, so please guide me or point me where I can learn how to install OS on one hdd, and use the other for other stuff. So if i wanted to reinstall the Os, i wouldn't need to backup my hdd. I'm pretty sure you guys know what I'm talking about, thanks.

What OSes are you looking to install?

simple... in windows setup, pick the one you want to install it on
install games on the other

likely.. install windows on C
install games on D

If they are both SATA, set fixed page files on both.

I can't believe I didn't include Windows Xp (pro/bussiness). Thanks
