Installing quicktime but having Windows Media Player...

I'm posting this for another person that I am trying to help. She is using Windows 98 and has to have Quicktime installed for her Digital Camera program to work. When installed, it plays all music and video on websites instead of Windows Media Player. She does not like to use quicktime for this purpose because of various reasons.

I cannot seem to find how to set WMP as the default media player within IE when quicktime is installed. Could someone please post here in easy terms (or link to a walkthrough etc) on how this could be accomplished? She will be reading this thread and attempting to make the changes.

Thanks a lot!! You guys are always very helpful!!

I see. So for instance, if WMP is the default application for an .avi file, when an .avi file is opened in IE, it will open with WMP instead of Quicktime?

Niiice, thanks!
