setting up a small office LAN over the weekend. Currently 5 workstations and 1 server (SBS2003)

When going to install peachtree, I figured I'd install on the server w/ data in a shared directory then during the install of each workstation point the data directory to that shared data directory on the server (mapped to workstation on client login).

Just wanted to see if there was any better way to do this or ??? from other experiences.

Thanks in advance.

3 desktops, 2 laptops (with docking stations... they will eventually be able to VPN into the network)

for desktops use, shared space like you said before.
for laptops, I would do local space on HD because those users can work on their laptops anytime without connecting. Eventually when VPN is finalized, I would go with shared space.

they use thsoe laptops as desktops when in the office (99% of the time)
They take them home and will work remotely once inet is set up so shared space all around I guess.

Thanks...
